It seems to me that every day I look in the mirror at myself that I am living a lie. Whats the difference, am I really who I say I am? Or am I what everyone else sees? A young woman/girl with a tender heart and a source of empathy that makes me at times hard to put up with? Or am I who I see, the person who strives to please everyone around me even if I wind up hurting myself in the end? Can it really be true that I push away the ones who are closest to me by building a wall that only the bravest of the brave are willing to penetrate? How can it be that a person who carries themselves so proudly be so insecure about such little things? How can I even consider being true to myself when I don't even know what that is. How can I love what I cant see in myself, but what everyone else can?

As I lay here on the beach watching the night sky I cant help but wonder....
What exactly do I have to offer to the world that I inhabit? How can one person so small make an impact on how things work? The world is such a large place and lets face it. Your only one person. The loud cries of the sea gulls make me glance out at the roaring waters as the salty spray stings bitter cold against my already stinging cheeks. Emotions running wild, my heart pounding I take the plunge into the sharp cold water. Surfacing I gasp for air, the cold sending a shock through my system. Right now it's only me, the impending approach of the night, Mother nature, and the vast endless ocean. From the nearby camp. I can hear the sound of my family calling to me. Once more another day has ended and I myself am left with the guilt of another day in which I didn't live life to the fullest.
